Bangkok, here I come!

Its not my first time to Bangkok, I’ve been there at least four times. But nobody can get enough of Bangkok. If you know the right places to go. This time I went with hubby and Mama who is a natural lah kat sana considering she spent a few years studying there.

Flight at night the same day my hubby long call. Iman and her husband, the newly weds were there to pick us up at the airport. Of course, another reason we went to Bangkok was to attend their reception which was the next day.

Malam tu best giler tido, coz penat gile dah 2 malam tak tido…packing and nervous nak long call nih. (Again, Areej, it wasn’t YOUR long call so enough of that already!). The next day I tried my skills during breakfast at the gerai makan katbawah hotel. What skills, you say? Well, Mama wasn’t there to help me order food, so I tried my skills lah…skills in cakap bahasa Thai…wahaha. This time I successfully ordered three nasi goreng (kao phad): 2 makan and 1 bungkus. AND I also managed to order teh ais (cha yen). Thanks to my mother who has been a very resourceful dictionary and all the Thai lakhorn I’ve been watching on TV. Nasib baik my hubby was there to witness my success, at least I could show off in front of someone. But of course there was some sign language involved. Sikit je :)

The wedding reception was not until 4:00 pm so we went jalan2 to The Mall…shopping yay!!! Balik dari The Mall, mandi, dress up and took off to the kenduri. It was a beautiful garden wedding, Iman was looking so pretty…we stayed till malam lah, so tired.

The next day we took of to my favourite market, the Chatuchak market which sells everything serba mak nenek semua ada kat situ. Returned to the hotel in the afternoon all worn out and belengas. Then took off to Pattaya with Auntie Dek’s pick up truck…yay! I get to sit at the back….besynyaa…it was a 2-hour drive from Bangkok, I know, so far…

Malam tu jalan2 kat Pattaya walking street (or what was it called again?). Memang tempat yg lagho2 lah. I didn’t even feel like I was in Thailand coz there were sooo many tourists, most of them mat salehs. And many half-naked girls and bapuks…ughh…disgusting…we snapped a few pictures…The balik lah, tired wei…

The next day went to see this beautiful vineyard, had a few glasses of fresh grape juice, naik ATV with Aiman. Took pictures with the beautiful flowers. On the way back singgah kat tempat naik gajah, but when I saw how it was, tak sampai hati nak naik elephant, don’t support cruelty towards animals. Had a ton of seafood for lunch…balik to Bangkok. That night jalan2 kat night market in the heart of Bangkok, shopping lagi.

The next morning, went to this ‘arab town’ in the centre of Bangkok…again, I didn’t feel like I was in Thailand…everything there was arab, the shops, the restaurants, the people, had arab food for lunch. Then jalan2 naik tuk tuk, to Siam Paragon this new and gorgeous place, I don’t think there is any shopping mall as nice as that in KL. It has all the latest fashions….yummy..

We too a taxi to yet another market…there are so many in Bangkok…and shopped lagi..woohoo…I spent and spent selagi ada duit in my wallet…haha…love my life. Enjoy now, worry later lah kan when I go back to KL kan, then kalau kene makan ikan kering je everyday pon takpe lah kan.

Flight to KL that night….went to airport kinda early to avoid traffic jam. The traffic jam in Bangkok is supposed to be much worse than in KL. Well, that was my trip to Bnagkok, I’ll definitely go again, maybe I’ll wait till I have my own house then I want to borong everything in Bangkok…so many wonderful stuff to buy……geraammm…
