BACK TO SCHOOL

So my little baby boy is now in...(wait for it)...primary school! Haa? Tua nya aku.

He is doing fine but the one having a hard time trying to adjust to this new situation is me.

Apa yang hard time sangat tu, Areej?

Well...

Gotta make sure the correct books are in his school bag according to his class time table.

So, of course, CANNOT lose the time table like I lose any other kertas. 

What 'other kertas'? Okay, admit it, like I lose my course outlines and my students tutorial attendance sheets.

MERDEKA

Wafa had a Merdeka celebration at school today. Since I macam biasa last minute pagi sebelum nak ke sekolah baru realised, or else I would have made her pakai baju kuning, kain merah, tudung putih dengan biru. Ok, I'm kidding, and not funny.

Her Daddy, though, was so semangat, hence his ootd. Baby, your stripes are wrong colour la. Try again next year!

TRIP TO KIDZANIA

Been so long we wanted to bring Amru and Wafa to Kidzania. Since last Thursday dah pergi tapi tak jadi (refer last post) so this time Sunday pon Sunday lah. Although they say Sunday paling tak ramai so that should be good.

Since we already bought tickets, the queue was not long. The kids got checks worth 50 Kidzos each. Once we got inside, we searched for CIMB where the kids cashed their cheques. wahh macam grown ups dah pergi bank and all. Ok, mak mereka yang jakun. They were so excited dapat 50 Kidzos. Macam hari raya plak. 

PONTENG SCHOOL, PONTENG WORK

 Alkisahnya, ada monthly assembly hari ni at my workplace. Siap kena marching bagai sempena Merdeka. So i thought, hey, this is the perfect day untuk ambil cuti. Anyways, since Amru pon tengah cuti sebelum mula sekolah baru and Wafa pon cuti sendiri sebab teman Amru main kat rumah (ada pulak istilah tu?) so memang perfect day lah. #happymomhappykids #andviceversa

So off we went to...jeng jeng jeng...Kidzania (!!!) first thing in the morning. More like NOON.

Coz we got tickets already.

Too bad. Sampai je kat the Kidzania airport check in counter, we were told that there were more than one thousand six hundred kids in there (yes, I wrote in words so it looks longer). Pengsan. And seeing that our tickets expire mid October, we got more than enough time to come back next time. Hmm...kesian Amru and Wafa. Tapi diorang pon taknak beratur panjang2.

Well, well, so much for ponteng sekolah. And amik cuti.

Since we were there already, lepak je lah at the Curve. Mujo ada Borders bookstore.

Kena paksa membaca. Haha. Might as well be in school kan?

He got out of the pool and wrote his name with his wet self. Now how come I never thought of that?!

Naik basikal

Two years ago belilah basikal satu sorang untuk Amru and Wafa, dah tu toys beli sokmo doh, nak juga diorang ni pandai ride basikal. Naik lah lima enam kali pastu basikal2 itu duduk sekung je kat rumah. Sampai tayar pon dah flat.

Nak bekki memang susah sungguh nak cari masa nak bawak basikal ke kedai utk repair. Maklumlah we olls kan busy mcm PM 😒 😂😂😂

But the amazing father that he is, yesterday my darling hubs squeezed in some time into his busy schedule to fix the bikes. Sampai minyak hitam semua kena tangan yg memang dah hitam. 😁

And ta-daa! The kids could ride again! 😀

Such a lovely day outdoors. Ye la before this asyik dalam rumah main ipad.

The workers (who are totally permanent workers under the command of my mom 😂) had left for the day. Tapi ada pulak orang tolong sambung buat kerja diorang. Untunglah my mom!

This one missed his ipad 😂 Takpelah kira outdoor activity jugak sebab main kat  luar 😂.

The kids were totally enjoying the outdoor fun. Until the mosquitoes came out. Then masuk rumah lah. Bye!

P.S. Can't wait til our porch is complete (our latest project). Nanti lagi best outdoor fun!

You know age is catching up on you when...

1. You go to a skincare outlet and they tell you the problem with your skin, and take these close up pictures of your face and zoom in and show you where your 'fine wrinkles' are showing up. I know, they do that coz they just wanna sell their products, but still..... *sigh*

2. You sign up for something online and when you come to the dreaded 'Date of birth" section, you take soooo loonggg to scroll down to your birth year. *sigh again*

3. You're at a bookstore with Amru and Wafa flipping through a Dinosaur Encyclopedia (he's into dinosaurs again. I've got to blog about our recent trip to Dinoscovery at Avenue K soon) and looking at pictures of these awesome dinosaurs when suddenly a question popped out of nowhere when Amru asked: Mama ada tak masa zaman dinosaurs ni? 

I'm that old, huh?!

Cameron Highlands: A short getaway

Last weekend, pergi Ipoh kenduri kawin. With the in laws. Distant relative. Tanya Aiman, aduh jenuh dia nak explain pertalian darah antara dia dengan pengantin. Haha.

Well, the kids sure had fun dapat jumpa dgn cousins yg jarang sangat dapat jumpa. 

See, I told you they had so much fun!

But let me tell you this, Ipoh is SO hot! Like 10 times hotter than KL. 

So it was an unplanned trip but we drove all the way (through jalan berliku sampai pening and mabuk bersaksikan orang asli yg berniaga sepanjang jalan) to Cameron Highlands just to wash away the heat from our red and sweaty faces. Okay, over lah tu. #dramaqueen

Just a one night trip but had a great time with family. And of course the photos and strawberries are great!
