So proud of hubby, the Advocate & Solicitor! :)

Venue: High Court, KL
Occasion: Hubby being called to the Bar! Yay!
Mood: Excited and berdebar2! Haha…macam lah aku yg nak longcall.

I woke up early that morning, put on my bright golden silk batik with matching golden tudung…(reaaallly don’t want people thinking I’m a lawyer. Lawyers kan wear dull black and whites…macam tv zaman dulu). Took off with my father to High Court KL at Jalan Duta that gorgeous building. Met my parents-in-law and Nurul who came all the way from Terengganu for this occasion.

It was a quiet event, no clapping no snapping pictures. (bosan kan jadi orang law?)

Of course lah weii….dalam courtroom tuh, what did you expect?! Cheerleaders with pom poms screaming at the top of their lungs?!

Come Aiman’s turn, I was soooo nervous, my heart was thumping, I swear I heard it. Take note that I was just sitting kat belakang2 tuh with orang ramai and it wasn’t my longcall, I’m just naturally a little mengada-ngada.

Well, hubby’s mover started reading the speech and my eyes welled up tears as he read the part which read something like: “Pempetisyen juga ingin mengucapkan terima kasih kepada isteri tersayang Areej Torla atas sokongan yang diberikan selama ini…” (okay fine, I’ll go look for the real speech).

 

 The judge then said something like: "Dengan kuasa yang diberikan kepada saya, dengan ini, saya menerima masuk & mendaftaraikan Ahmad Aiman bin Che Ghani sebagai peguambela & peguamcara Mahkamah Tinggi Malaya...". Then the mover pakaikan that gorgeous fluffy robe on Aiman…I was grinning from ear to ear. Wanted so much to clap real hard and go hug my hubby, but I really don’t need to get on the judge’s bad side, do I?

I’m soooo proud of you Babam! I don’t think I would go through that myself, I mean chambering and jadi advocate & solicitor blablabla; I’m much more contented with what I’m doing now. So it feels so great when one of us actually does get called to the Bar.

Afterwards, sesi fotografi laah..me favorite! Snap snap snap. Then we all had breakfast and tea. Would have loved to stay on and take more photos but gotta go back home and pack. Gotta plane to catch that night!
