The Eye

Can't believe it. My eye still hurts. Padan muka, siapa suruh tidor lewat sangat.

For those who still don't know the story about 'The Eye' (mcm cerita hantu The Eye pulak...eee..seram), it goes like this:

Once upon a time, there lived a klutz named AJ (not her real name). She was attending a course. When it was break time, she bent down to get her purse and a friend of hers who was sitting next to her accidentally poked her finger into AJ's right eye. It hurt so much, she could barely open it for a couple of days.

A few months later, AJ was on the office phone -during lunch okay, so she wasn't curi tulang or anything- (office phones have CORDS unlike the normal handphone that you use, so she wasn't able to move about too much) with her hubby while her hand that wasn't holding the phone was busy cutting off strands of stray thread from her baju kurung with A PAIR OF SCISSORS. Her hubby was about to tell her what happened in the next episode of Prison Break, AJ's most favourite TV show which she never missed. Afraid that her hubby would spoil it for her, like a bolt of lightning she hurriedly tried to put the phone down. But because the phone has a CORD, and she had in her hand A PAIR OF SCISSORS, it wasn't as easy as it should be. The PAIR OF SCISSORS flew into the air and went straight into....you guessed it!...-AJ's right eye!!!!!!! The injured one! And once again, she was unable to see for a couple of days.

Ever since the two horrifying incidents, her right eye was sometimes okay and sometimes ngokngek. Whenever she woke up earlier than she's supposed to, or if she rubbed the eye too hard, or if something went into her eye (which is not unusual for someone like AJ), the eye would hurt and become real watery.

So if you meet AJ one day, and you see that her right eye is red and swollen, it is isn't because she was crying or that she has conjunctivitis. You know the real story. Tell this story to your loved ones, and pass it on to your children and grandchildren, for AJ wouldn't want other people to suffer like she did.
