the neverending story. that's the term i use to refer to...my horror story. and that's also the term i use to describe...my phd journey. haha. drama queen betul, you must think.
tapi sebenarnya memang betul. dan siapa yang dah melaluinya aku rasa akan concur with me. memang horror story. cuma for some people lebih horror than others.
dan cerita aku antara yang paling horror juga.
sebenarnya, dah hampir 4 tahun since my 'neverending story' actually ended. alhamdulillah. saat tu memang rasa macam LEGA sangat, Allah saja yang tahu perasaan aku ketika itu. segala penat lelah keperitan yang dihadapi semua hilang one fine day in november 2013 the moment i clicked 'send' when i emailed the final draft of my phd thesis to the university. perasaannya tak sama dengan habis exam spm, tak sama dengan habis final paper for your last exam masa final year bachelors degree. memang tak sama. mungkin kalau nak compare pon, then sama macam orang baru keluar penjara. ermm, over lah kau, Areej! masuk penjara pon tak pernah...
saja je aku nak cerita pasal my phd journey kat sini. because for me, as horrible as it was, the journey (not the degree) was something valuable to me, taught me so much in life, taught me erti kesusahan, taught me untuk berdikari, taught me to prioritise the important things in life, taught me to appreciate what i have, and most importantly, taught me how to COOK. no i did not do my phd in cooking, but since i was studying abroad with limited halal food, i just had to....heyyyy, you must read my neverending story posts to find out.
